Nicoya Peninsula, Costa Rica

What started as a simple idea quickly turned into a race against time. The objective was simple: Chase building El Niño swell along the Nicoya peninsula to put ourselves in the best position for the impending south swell pulse. Exploring unfamiliar coastlines and surfing many legendary breaks, we were still searching for that empty wave we were hoping for. From the endless point break peaks of Avellanas to the powerful surf of Santa teresa every destination brought a new challenge. No strict itinerary, but time was running out. Little did we know a few phone calls, some local recommendations, and a 5:30 am boat ride would place us right where we wanted to be for the last push - capturing a session purely to ourselves on the last day ill remember for a lifetime.

On a trip to Park City, Utah, it all came together. Patch culture is a lost art, and I wanted to bring it back with outdoor clothing that tells stories instead of shouting logos.
That became the Rambler, a chenille letterman jacket built around where you're from. Your home state is the letterman, the back reads "See You There," and the patches you add over time finish the story. It's a vintage patch jacket that's meant to be worn hard and collect miles.
Out There Wear is for people who are out of office, out of the box, and out there.

My first ski trip to Lake Tahoe was the first time I felt what being out there really means. A buddy, a car packed with gear, and mornings in the resort parking lot under the tall pines. We skied under the 1960 Winter Olympics rings and finished the day standing in the snow, with nowhere to be and nothing to check.
For years work had been the loudest thing in my life. On that mountain it went quiet. No inbox, no quota, just cold air, a clear blue sky, and the people I was with.
That peace stuck with me. Every piece of adventure apparel we make at Out There Wear is built to carry a little of that feeling,
